This webinar will delve into the challenges of providing hospice and palliative care to individuals with IDD.  It will also provide strategies for building relationships within the hospice team and residential staff to provide better care and services.

Presenters

Roger Sullivan, LCSW, MBA
Roger is the Director of Psychosocial support and services for Good Shepherd Hospice in Long Island, NY. He has worked in the hospice and end-of-life field for over 20 years and holds clinical and leadership positions in social work, palliative care, access, and community relations.

He began his social work career working with the IDD day programs and then transitioned into the residential programs, becoming the end-of-life care advocate. Roger is the immediate past chair of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York State (HPCANYS) and a member of the HPCANYS IDD work group. His extensive background working with hospice and palliative care, as well as individuals with intellectual and development disabilities, allows him to provide real-world examples during his training programs.
