After a three year period, the final rule for Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers is in place. Hospice providers must have an emergency plan developed when this rule takes effect November 15, 2017.

NHPCO's Health Policy team has created a resource available to NHPCO Members that addresses what you need to know to be compliant. Download this member resource, Emergency Preparedness for Hospice Providers.

You can learn more about emergency preparedness in the Regulatory section of the NHPCO website, or with the Emergency Preparedness Podcast

*Newly added webinar! For more detailed information register now for Getting Ready for Emergency Preparedness CoP on April 18, 2017. Participants can interact directly with a Senior Emergency Management Specialist from the HHS Office of Emergency Management.
