The Arizona Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (AHPCO) has developed this Resource Center for information, guidance, tools and resources for patients and families in Arizona's hospice and palliative care community relative to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.  Special thanks to our partners especially the National Palliative Care & Hospice Organization (NHPCO) for providing the resources and information critical to keeping our community informed.  The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) is a federal government agency under the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and is the nation's health protection agency.  The CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same.
 The Arizona Department of Health Services (AzDHS) is a state government agency charged with protecting the health of Arizona's children and adults.  Home Health agencies and in-home care companies that provide medical care are required to be licensed with AzDHS.
 

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is a federal government agency also under under HHS that runs the insurance program commonly known as Medicare.  CMS also monitors Medicaid programs offered by each state including Arizona where it is known as AHCCCS.
